See’s Centennial Landing Page
2021 marks the 100th birthday of See’s Candies! See’s is an iconic Californian brand with very passionate and dedicated customers. To stay true to its loyal fans, See’s very cleverly makes small and gradual changes to its designs through print and digital mediums.
To mark this special occasion, we wanted to take a bit of a digital design leap for the Centennial Landing Page. This page houses all things relating to See’s 100th celebration: history, news, stories, candy of the month series, and the campaign What’s Your Sweet Idea, where customers submitted ideas and voted on finalists for a new candy to roll out in November (See’s birthday month).
The See’s Candies website is very modular, but for this project we took a new approach to make it more open and free flowing. This direction adds a contemporary feeling, brining See’s into a new digital era.
Working with a very constrained timeline, as design manager Jen spearheaded this project with the help of the creative team. Together they developed everything from the page’s layout and UX, design elements (such as the gold logo and Candy of the Month advent calendar), dramatic graphics for banners, and were even included in the brainstorming for the “What’s Your Sweet Idea” campaign naming.
